trip to the E.R.

NOW, I will go on about this weekend and how it's started out so far.

For the past few weeks I've been having a dull and very annoying pain in my left side and abdomen and it has been progressively getting worse. A couple days ago I was going to have Corey take me in to a doctor because the pain had gotten so annoyingly present but for a new patient it would take a minimum of a week to get seen and I did not have the time or patience for that so he suggested urgent care. Since my pain had dulled once again I said I would be okay but if it got any worse at all he would take me in to urgent care. Well we had planned on going in on Thursday but I had to work and the pain wasn't too bad and so I told him I'd wait it out to see if it would go away but no matter what, we would go in in the morning.

Around 5:30 this morning I woke up with a very tight side and a horrible ache in my belly off to the left side, I laid around until 6 as planned and when my alarm went off I got up and hopped into the shower. No later than ten minutes I was throwing up because of nerves and pain. I woke Corey up and then a while later I got in the car and we headed to Urgent care. Just to find.... CLOSED in the window and it would stay like that until 8 in the morning. We then headed for St. Luke's E.R. wing.... I just checked in and the waiting game began.

Over the next three/three and a half hours, both of our parents had been called (Corey called my mom so she wouldn't freak out as bad.) I had an ultrasound, had my blood drawn and well as a urine sample, a pelvic exam and countless other things.... Corey never left my side and I thank God every second that he was there holding my hand the entire time telling me that everything was okay and that nothing was wrong and I would be alright. He was a champ and although we were both scared and I almost started crying several times, he helped me through it and I'm perfectly fine. The outcome: a ruptured ovarian cyst that wasn't very happy. But the doctor gave me some pain pills and I've just been napping all day and being taken care of by Corey. I sure do love him and I thank God every day that I have been blessed with such an amazing man to take care of me and be there for me no matter what.
