one more week.

WELL people... I haven't blogged in almost a month and although I'd like to say a whole lot of nothing happened but in reality a lot happened almost a whole month ago so I'll just start from my birthday. YAY!


This year I said goodbye to my teenage years, as well as rest in peace. And course Corey was there to celebrate it with me... all day. I was woken up to breakfast in bed, hot chocolate, the cutest monkey ever, tons of annoying pictures and yes... birthday kisses from Corey. I don't know how he happened to get in or why on earth my door was unlocked but it was an amazing surprise. Then I got ready and we headed to the zoo even though it was raining... WHY? Because the animals LOVE the rain and it's ten times better if you don't mind getting a little wet. After that we ended up going to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner even though Corey protested me the whole way there saying he wanted to take me somewhere nicer but I didn't mind. THEN we got to go to the Avengers Midnight premiere so all in all.... One of the best birthdays ever. 


A few days later on the seventh was Corey and I's one year anniversary. Corey told me that I'm getting a gift when I get to Disneyland in a WEEK and I really am excited to see what it is. But being able to spend time with him that night and go to dinner at P.F. Changs was enough. We also met my parents at a car dealership and I got a car! Then we all went and watched the movie Chimpanzee... which is absolutely adorable. 

I went home to other day to visit my family last week and while I was there my Grandmother passed away. Although there was much turmoil and a lot going on that night I felt extremely peaceful, my sister and I received a phone call from my dad letting us know and the minute she told me I got up and drove over to my grandmother's place. The next night as family was starting to arrive I quickly was asked to type up my grandmother's journal, or history as she had called it. It wasn't much of a personal journal but rather a history of where she was from, who her loved ones are, and how she felt about certain things. 30 pages and several hours later I not only felt closer to her but finally realized what an amazing woman she was throughout her life. What a woman!

NOW I'm just waiting for the 2nd to hurry and get here as quickly as possible because I can't wait to go to California and hang out with the Leikauf's for a whole week!! We're going to Disneyland but I really just can't wait to get to spend time with all of them and especially Corey. He's only been gone for two weeks and already I miss him terribly and can't go a day without having to talk to him... I sure do love him!
